Biography
The Swing Sisters formed in 2005 and since then have been bringing a touch of nostalgia everywhere they perform.
‘Let the good times roll as we celebrate the fabulous wartime sweethearts - the darlings of the USO - Andrews Sisters, (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree) - the UK’s English Nightingale – Dame Vera Lynn (Lili Marlene /White Cliffs of Dover, We’ll Meet Again, Bless em All) - and the little sparrow herself - Edith Piaf (Non Jenne Regrette Rien) - songs from the Vietnam era
We bring you songs that inspired nations and raised spirits in times of war along with popular songs of the swing era. Songs that will bring a tear to your eye. Songs that remind us of lost loves and lost family. Songs that you just can’t help singing along to…and there will be plenty of singalongs!
The post war years brought some fabulous swing tunes and movie hits that are still considered classics today from legendary ladies such as Judy Garland and Doris Day. Musical memories guaranteed to get you “In the Mood” Stylishly feminine and vibrant, dressed to the hilt in 40s style, Lisa Page and Kirsty Jeffrey draw on their extensive vocal and dance backgrounds to produce an authentic recreation of the performers of the era.
